Detroit Metro Mashup was fortunate to once again attend the Dasi Solutions Dream Cruise Open House on Thursday, August 13. Not only was the party larger than last year but the company, which sells 3D printing technology, has grown also; a welcome outcome for all of Pontiac. Pontiac Mayor Diedra Waterman even stopped by to visit and tour the operation. This is just the start of DASI Solutions 20th anniversary celebration. DASI plans to utilize their SOLIDWORKS 2016 rollout events in the fall to celebrate throughout the Michigan and Indiana territory. They have gone from being a small tech startup up company to having a solid reputation as a premier Value-Added Reseller for products for the designing engineer, including SOLIDWORKS 3D software and Stratasys 3D printing technology.

To emphasize the ever-expanding state of technology, Lawrence Tech students were on hand to help anyone who wanted to drive a robot created at Lawrence Tech. It seemed to be great fun for those who attempted it. There were plenty of cars to look at, classic, hot rod, and performance, and great food, including barbecue sandwiches, burgers, and lots of sides and condiments, provided by DASI and catered by Lafayette Grande Catering. Ice cream and a variety of soft drinks took the swelter out of the hot and sunny afternoon.

This was the third year for the Open House and we hope they continue to host it just prior to the Woodward Dream Cruise in the future.
