June 13-14, 2015 - Peacefest - Waterford, MI
The 2015 Peacefest was held on the grounds of the L.A. Cafe in Waterford, MI.
Attendees got to shop for art, candles, clothing, tattoos, etc. with close to 100 artists and musicians on hand, food trucks and of course coffee and food in the L.A. Cafe. This year there was also music and art across the street (Dixie Highway) at the WHAC (White House Art Collective). We attended on Saturday and I understand that Sunday, even though it rained, some vendors toughed it out and stayed open for the moistened attendees.
Organizer Darren Graunstaldt and his wife Heidi used to do art shows and know how hard it is for artists, so they started the Peacefest to offer lower cost booths on the grounds of their L.A. Cafe. Admission is free, so put it on your calendar to attend next years show.
We always have a great time and find things we can't leave without. This year we went in for handmade soaps, votive candle holders, and a cool box (suckers for boxes).
