February 15, 2014 - Lafayette Market Edible WOW
Pontiac’s Lafayette Market held an open house with sponsorship by Edible WOW Magazine on Saturday, February 15 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The event hosted a number of local vendors who participated in this tasting of their food products along with local beers and wine. Participants included Atwater Brewery, Ackroyd’s Scottish Bakery, Chartreuse Tea, Cooper Street Cookies, Hickory Knoll Cheese, Jessica’s Natural Foods, Mighty Good Coffee, Miller Pine and Savories, Peteet’s Famous Cheesecake, Sandhill Crane Wine, Street Eatzz, Slow Jams, Tricina’s Pasta, and others. Phil May provided the musical entertainment for the event.
Both the food and the people attending were great and Detroit Metro Mashup enjoyed covering the event, as you will be able to tell from our photos. Our understanding is that the Lafayette is planning to begin stocking some of these and even more Michigan products, something we heartily endorse. Come to Pontiac, shop at this incredible market and enjoy their fresh vegetables, meats, deli, and café. Support our Michigan economy by becoming more of a locavore!
