May 2-3, 2015 - Davisburg Antique Festival
If you missed the spring Davisburg Antique Festival mark down these dates for the upcoming fall one, Oct. 3 & 4, 2015. It was great fun with lots of antiques and things to do.
What a beautiful setting for an Antique Festival! Food vendors were nicely spaced, there was plenty of room to walk in-between the booths, and many nice places to sit to enjoy the water and sights. In addition to the Antique Festival this time there was also a classic car show. Buying something heavy, there were also helpers available.
The Historic Ellis Barn was open for business; this is from their website:
“The joint Oakland County Parks/Road Commission of Oakland County project utilized a Grant through the Michigan Department of Transportation, to hire an ex-amish barnwright from Indiana to inventory, dismantle and reconstruct the barn – board by board – from its birthplace to Springfield Oaks County Park.”
There were all kinds of things there, old bottles, insulators, velvet chairs and, if that nasty dog under the table chewed off your leg, yup they had a spare one for sale there too. Plan on spending the day there, as there is also a Michigan Craft Beer Garden!
